Holistic Development Our classes are not just about kicks and punches—our classes nurture confidence, respect, and discipline, fostering character alongside physical skills. Progression and Development There is a full belt progression programme, there is always something new to learn — keeping you engaged, active, and eager to come back for more. Or if you'd prefer just to turn up and train, that's fine too! The journey really is your own at The Factory Martial Arts whether you have Black Belt in your sights, or you just want to hang out with like minded people and get fit in the process. All our classes are suitable for beginners through to seasoned kickboxers, but please note if you're looking to fight, we're not the club for you, as we punch pads, not people!

Our Coaches

VIKKI
Club Coach
I began my kickboxing journey after seeing my son enjoying his Little Dragons classes so much. I was always active as a youngster and missed the feeling that exercise gave me. My coaching journey began when Sensei Lucy asked for volunteers to join the SWAT team (now known as junior coaches) to help out in the children’s classes. Watching students grow was extremely rewarding, and becoming a coach felt like the natural next step. I currently hold a 2nd Dan Black Belt and am always looking to learn and improve. My forte is my flexibility (I used to be a dancer!) I will also push you to be the best version of yourself in our classes, and challenge you, but always be supportive. Fun fact: At age 14, I achieved the level needed to teach ballet. By 16, I had passed the exams.

LUCY
Owner & Head Coach
I have trained in kickboxing for nearly 30 years & have been teaching for over 20 years! I currently hold a 4th Dan Black Belt, ad well as numerous health and nutrition certificates. I also hold a TAQA in assessing vocational achievement, which means I can fully support you on your kickboxing journey. I wasn’t your typical sporty child, until I found kickboxing. It taught me resilience, as some of the moves & techniques didn’t come naturally to me, so I had to continually try harder. These values are things I promote throughout the club today, as I want all of our students to be their own personal best, and to never give up! We ask you to leave your egos at the door, as you are here for you, for your own journey and not to compare yourself to anyone else. Fun fact about me - I was born in London and lived there until I was around 2 years old, before moving to the midlands. I can also play the clarinet.

KELLY
Club Coach
I started kickboxing after joining a parental involvement class with my daughter. It was loads of fun, so I decided to give it a go myself! I was inspired to become a coach because I really enjoy working with others and helping them progress. I currently hold a 1st Dan Black Belt in kickboxing, and I am always on hand to help and support you in classes. Fun Fact; I love musicals!
Lisa, Student
“I've only been part of the group for a few weeks, but I've been made to feel very welcome. I'm thoroughly enjoying the sessions and although I have a long way to go, I'm really looking forward to learning new things. The ladies are all really nice and you have a great time whilst getting fit!”
Laura, Assistant Instructor
“I started kickboxing as I had no confidence around other people and I was bullied at secondary school. Kickboxing has given me the confidence to face my fears, and I am now helping Lucy to teach classes!"
Sarah, Student
“Lucy is a brilliant instructor and if you need support she's there. Since I started kickboxing I feel fitter...it's great exercise.”
